Fr Seraphim's letters are not necessarily a reflection of his personal views only, but a reflection of the spirit shared by both Fr Herman and Fr Seraphim of the Platina Monastery. In many of the letters Fr Seraphim makes it clear that he speaks not in his name only, but in the name of both himself and Fr Herman. It is because of Fr Seraphim's eloquent style and his English language abilities that naturally put him in the position of conducting most of the Monastery's correspondence.
