Google Zeitgeist, Social Justice and Orthodoxy
Google seems poised to take over the reigns and lead the spiritual awakening movement of the “spirit of the age” (zeitgeist). After being instrumental to helping with the “Arab Spring” islamic awakening revolution, we now hear that Google and the Bilderberg Group are fusioning to create a new kind of entity that will lead a “technocratic revolution”.
Google’s critical part in establishing of the coming scientific dictatorship is well documented – what better choice for promoting it and reaching the widest audience …
The veil over Bilderberg’s secrecy has been lifting slowly over the last years, allowing a few “insiders” to leak more and more of its “secrets”, making it look like it has been the result of the efforts of the “resistance” fighting back the global elite …
It appears that what was written in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion about the global elite stepping aside making way for their despot king is now happening – they seem ready to dissolve their secretive organization and transfer the reigns to the “Google Zeitgeist” movement !
The hallmarks of this plan are everywhere and presented in various forms, most often under the guise of “social justice” or “human rights” movements (see our Mystery of Iniquity section on our site).
What is most characteristic about this “spiritual awakening” is that it is intended to unite all the forces of society (including churches) with the aim of fighting injustice and help bring about a more just social system, a new world order. This is nothing more than another utopian effort similar to communism but at the same time different – where communism was atheistic in nature, the coming one will be religious. In fact, as shown in St Seraphim’s Orthodox Survival Course, the reasons why communism failed are particularly attributed to trying to root out the spiritual inclination from the human nature.
Orthodox Christians need to not allow themselves be caught into this movement of which the goal is to try to create a “kingdom of heaven on earth”. Christ Himself never attempted that, He came to prepare us for the kingdom of Heaven which is not of this earth. The only justice an Orthodox Christian should seek is to get a good answer before the throne of judgement of Christ. One seeking his own justice does not acknowledge that injustice comes with God’s consent due to sin, and is rebelling against God’s will.
Iniquity has always been part of and will always exist in this fallen world. When Jesus came, He did not find a just world but a sick one, the Jews were living under the occupation of the empire of that time, the Roman empire, yet He did not seek to overthrow the Roman authority, but instead His message was for the individual salvation through enduring of these injustices for our redemption from a state of sinfulness. Through Him Who endured death on the Cross for our sins we have been shown the only way to the Kingdom of Heaven. Any attempt to change this state of things by seeking earthly justice through the will of men and not through repentance (by which the Grace of God is given), has led over the centuries to heresies, crusades, wars and revolutions, and it is something that in Catholic doctrine is known as “Liberation Theology” (must read!), also known as Christian Communism (following quote was reproduced directly from wikipedia !):
However, an independent Christian communist movement did re-emerge, in a rather unexpected place: Latin America. This was a separate development from the earlier European and North American movements. Latin American Christian communism is a strong trend within liberation theology, which is a specifically Christian movement concerned with social justice and equality that incorporates both communists and other socialists. Liberation theology is Catholic in origin, given that Roman Catholicism is the dominant Christian denomination in Latin America, but there have also been liberation theologians from many other denominations. Liberation theology experienced significant growth during the 1960s and 70s, and many liberation theologians (including bishops and other prominent clergymen) supported the Sandinista government of Nicaragua in the 1980s.
Yet with deep sorrow we can not leave unnoticed that our own Orthodox Church has been infected by this disease. Our Church Hierarchs are leading us down this path. Much too often we hear in sermons and homilies, or in other forms, calls to “social justice” and unity with other Christian confessions as a common response in the face of evil.
Just like in the days of the Roman empire, the number of voices demanding justice in the face of the American oppression are overwhelming and the effort to unite them all can not go unnoticed. Take for example the following article posted on a website linked to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in response to the abduction of the Syrian Archbishop of Aleppo, Yohanna Ibrahim, by islamic extremists a few days ago:
Despite appeals from religious and political leaders around the world—including the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights’ condemnation of the kidnappings; the call by the Office of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for the immediate release of the detained Archbishops and their safe return to their communities; a letter to US Secretary of State John Kerry from the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of North and Central America; Pope Francis’ call to peace in Syria and an entreaty for the release of the two Orthodox Archbishops; and calls from Imams across Damascus in Friday prayers on April 26 for the release of the Orthodox hierarchs and condemnation of their abduction as a violation of “the sanctity of Christian and Islamic clergymen”—the US has remained shockingly silent on the matter.
Too often nowadays, Orthodox Christians who are not deeply rooted into the true saving Faith of Orthodoxy as handed down from our Holy Fathers, get caught in this scam. Here is for example what an orthodox blog, “Peace – Justice – Orthodox Christianity”, stands for:
“This site is established to provide a forum for discussion of ideas and to make announcements of upcoming activities of the social justice ministry of St. Mary the Protectress Orthodox Church.”
Orthodox Christians, now more then ever we need to make sure we know our faith and what we stand for! Let us be aware of the danger of falling into the trap of false awakening movement of the coming antichrist.
With love in Christ,
Orthodox Australia
