The mystery of iniquity and lawlessness is being revealed to the world and we can see more and more of it every day. Orthodox Christians need to be on guard and understand that this much iniquity was created out of our ignorance and with a well defined purpose – to facilitate bringing about of antichrist’s revolution against iniquity and immorality, who is preparing a new system, one of universal (social) justice.

Out of this mess there is no way out but through God by repentance and humility. Before we can fix this we need to fix ourselves first, purge out all passions and admit that this bondage has been brought upon us for our sins. We completely left God behind for this world and its mirages. Getting into debt, stealing from future generations is not economic prosperity but greed stemming from the desire to have now what normally one could not have.

The Old Testament shows us repeatedly how Israel (God’s chosen people) suffered for their sins and departure from God by being taken into bondage, and being freed from bondage by God through repentance. This time is no different other than the bondage is happening on a global scale.
