Moscow’s “New Orthodoxy”

What is missing from this picture?
(hint: everything that could remind us of the Heavenly Church)
The Cathedral of Jesus Christ the Saviour in Kaliningrad, Patriarch Kirill’s favorite creation, a project he started before becoming a Patriarch, contains not one icon or image of anything sacred in Orthodoxy. It looks like anything but an Orthodox Cathedral, you could not even say it was at least a Catholic Church.
This is World Orthodoxy, it has little Holy in it, it confesses almost nothing, it has no intercessors, it is hardly being a reflection of the Heavenly Church here on Earth any more. It is just an abstract concept or at best a “museum” or “a piece of art”, that is all it has become.
No wonder they are re-burying their saints as soon as they are found incorrupt. The discovery of the uncorrupt relics of a Saint used to be a day of great celebration and become an Orthodox Holiday. A quick look in the calendar reveals many holidays about the uncovering of the relics of many Saints, like Saint Seraphim of Sarov, or Saint John Maximovitch, or Saint Daniel the Prince of Moscow, or Saint Myron of Crete and so on. Not anymore! For the New Orthodoxy to be born, the old one has to be buried.
How should an Orthodox Cathedral look like?
