The Old Testament shows clearly, time and time again, that the path away from God always leads a nation (or nations) into bondage, slavery to a totalitarian regime, and returning to God always results in being freed from bondage. That is what happened in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century, and that is what is coming to the apostate West now.
