Julian Assange announces a global awakening is sweeping the planet. Once again we need to emphasize that Orthodox Christians need to resist this “liberation” movement as it is a trap. Julian Assange has a lot in common with people like George Soros who are funding “both ends” – on one hand they are creating a global problem, and on another they are financing a “solution” sold as an “awakening movement” meant to fight the problem they help create. This is the awakening movement of the coming antichrist that is trying to mobilize all the resources of society into a global fight for “social justice”. BTW, do not be fooled, Edward Snowden is another actor in this play.

Voltaire’s Bastards: The Dictatorship of Reason in the West is the name of a new book which seems, at least from the title, to make the Orthodox point on the complete apostasy of the West. Blessed Seraphim Rose spoke extensively about Voltaire and all the other French revolutionaries in his Orthodox Survival Course. As we did not read this new book we can not say how much the author’s views are in line with the Orthodox thinking, but those interested can always refer back to Fr Seraphim’s work where they can actually grasp the true Orthodox understanding of the progress of this apostasy in the West.
