The ‘evolution’ of butterfly

With so much tumult in the world and so many ‘issues’ on the news bulletins, we have no more time for ourselves or time to care for things near us. We forgot to enjoy looking at a sunrise and we forgot to look outside the screen of the television set! Many little creatures around have fantastic features which could lead us to the understanding of what the Lord did in His Creation. Normally, it is not exactly the Perfect Creation that He made, but still beautiful and extraordinary. One of these little things that God made and we will be looking at in this article, is the gorgeous butterfly.

Noticeably, not all insects classified as ‘butterflies’ of the order of Lepidoptera are pretty, but the very short time that its larvae, the caterpillar, needs to turn into a butterfly should surprise the ones following the theory of evolution. In just less than four weeks, a worm-like creature changes completely into a beautiful flying insect! What kind of process is this, with such quick and extraordinary modifications, in a very short time? Why would a larva take a sudden change of direction, completely ‘improper’ for a living thing like itself, and turn into something else which… flies?

Obviously, the research done, on stages that many insects go through, discovered that all body parts of a butterfly are already programmed into the caterpillar. But according to the ‘theory of evolution’, it must have been another organism before the caterpillar and also, in regards to the butterfly, this flying insect ‘must’ be developing into another creature! How come that the caterpillar ‘wanted’ to change into something else? Was its ‘own’ will to fly? Are there other types of animals capable to do something similar? Maybe a cane-toad to change into a camel, an inspired pig growing into an orangutan, a fish to turn into a penguin, or an anaconda snake into a tiger – but these would be some examples of beings which just want to stay the way they are.

The Creator of all, our Lord God, knowing what kind of delusion we will be growing into, made the majestic butterfly with those stages in its life, to put to shame the stubborn evolutionists and to put a stop to this fantasy that man created in the realms of philosophy and science. Yes, it is about the man who rejected his own Creator, in the first place, also forgetting that Beauty can save the world. Through these changes, from a caterpillar to a butterfly, one can observe the short time associated to the event, the dramatic change from a kind to another and the possibility to acknowledge these transformations by anybody and in every corner of our earth…

The absurdity of the theory of evolution with its millions of years just falls into a ridiculous daydream. God made the butterfly to show to each of us through this example something that a child understands straightforwardly. The miracle of creation cannot be checked with tools of science. The metamorphosis as a process is impossible to be imagined or ‘reproduced’ by anyone. On the other hand, as observed by our Holy Fathers, this transformation is the metaphorical illustration of our own Resurrection to come, through Christ our Lord. In the mean time, on this very fallen earth, presidents will be kidnapped, countries will go bankrupt and leaders will be changed with new leaders, letting us mesmerised by things on the screen of nightmares.
