What is the “spirit” behind the revolts in various parts of the world?

The details about the spontaneous revolt in Turkey hides something more sinister than the mainstream media would like to have us believe – upon careful examination we can clearly see the same spirit in action as it was the case with Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement – it is the Zeitgeist, or “The Spirit of the New Age“.

In the following blog we can read:

Last week of May 2013 a group of people most of whom did not belong to any specific organization or ideology got together in Istanbul’s Gezi Park. Among them there were many of my friends and yoga students. Their reason was simple: To prevent and protest the upcoming demolishing of the park for the sake of building yet another shopping mall at very center of the city

And they do seem to be under the influence of some kind of “spirit of revolution” since they even admit: “Today, we are all someone new !”

You may remember that particular to the OWS protests was something weird happening: in many instances the crowds would repeat, blindly, like mindless zombies in some sort of a trance, everything that the speaker would say, looking like the crowds were hypnotized by the same “spirit” …

The same “spirit” is the one that animated the Arab Spring … and it is taking over the whole world. As the iniquities are growing by the day, so is this “spirit of justice” … the mystery of iniquity is being revealed to the world.

And just in time, to give his full support to the movement, just like Glenn Beck did with The Blaze”, David Icke has just launched a TV network to help with the “awakening”.

We as Orthodox Christians need to resist joining in such movements and understand that justice can only come from God as a result of our repentance, and accept that injustices that are being brought upon us are a result of our sins and departure from God.
