Whatsoever is outside of the divine commandments and the laws of the Church, not only are you not to obey when ordered by him, but do not even incline if an angel should descend from out of heaven and speak to thee those things outside of what has been handed down to us by the apostles and their successors…”

The flock needs to be attentive.

Many modern Bishops and Priests demand obedience to themselves in teachings and practices which are not according to the apostolic tradition, nor according to the canons of the Church.

The modern (at best lukewarm, and at worst God-fighting) “Orthodox” pastors proclaim “canonical!” “uncanonical!” and “illegal!”, knowing that their flock is not attentive. The flock is occupied with worldly cares and is lukewarm in faith. The people are easy to scare with words.

Let us rather follow St Symeon. He teaches that each Christian must KNOW what the apostolic canons and ordinances are, and obey them.

In a recent post we briefly made reference to the Fabian Society. But who are they? This is such an important subject to just let it be buried like that.

The Fabian Society is a secret society who’s members are found everywhere at the top of political power structures and basically control everything. They are a Marxist organization which is actively trying to gradually implement communism on a global scale by generating crisis after crisis until they get to upset the whole existing world order. They themselves admit quite openly as this being the goal, and is depicted in their famous Fabian Society Window (in which they are seen pounding on the Earth until it gets so hot that then they can “mold it to their heat’s desire”), and they go as far as having a logo as a wolf in sheep clothing ! The window BTW is located in one of their most prominent premises, the London School Of Economics (where George Soros also graduated :))

There are a lot of resources on the internet about this movement and their plans for humanity, so we will not spend too much time developing on this subject. We will just resume to pointing out that they are the ones that financed the communist takeover of Russia (and the West for that matter, which BTW is currently in progress). Knowing all this can put all current world events in a whole new perspective.

“…whatever is calculated to relieve our need with the least trouble, this is to be employed. This the Lord Himself made evident on the occasion when He was host to the weary multitude lest they should faint on the way (Mt. 15:32), as it is written. We should not concern ourselves with costly fare and seeking extravagant foods with expensive sauces on the pretext of continency. On the contrary, we should choose whatever is easy to obtain in each region, cheap, and available for general consumption, and use only those imported food that are necessary to sustain life, like olive oil and similar products. In addition, if something would be useful for the necessary relief of the sick, this too, is permitted, if it can be procured without difficulty, disturbance, or distraction.” St Basil the Great. The Long Rules, 19.

How different this is from the ideal that the world presents…Instead of simple, locally produced food, it exalts delicacies imported from afar. Instead of healthy, basic products, it present chemically processed and enhanced foods which essentially are harmful for our health…

If only at least fasting Christians would choose simple products from their own region! Then perhaps local farmers would continue their work….But no! The world has taught us to “need” “soy chicken” and “fasting cookies”, full of various harmful chemicals.

Even when we are not fasting, we prefer what the world and the enemies of God set before us: Processed, sugary or artificially sweetened foods that result in diabetes at best, heart disease as its sequel, or worse yet, neurological !

This is the scariest news yet coming out of the EU ! Little by little we are being unveiled the new 100% communist design of the new Europe (and the whole of the western world): EU to push for losses on big savers at failed banks.

They do not care about what people want, they just keep hammering the earth away until it becomes so “red hot” that they can “mold it to their heart’s desire” as depicted in the Fabian’s Society famous Window. Have you seen their window? Or their logo? Or do you know what link there is between them, George Orwell and the “1984” book? Would this give a little bit of a perspective of what is happening in the West today? Do you know how many of our leaders are members of this insidious secret society ? Please look it up – you will be surprised !

So now they are back with a vengeance in their attempt at destroying the family and the whole order of society as established by God

New York Mayor Bloomberg tells people in the face that there is nothing they can do about the drones and he warns: “Oh It’s Big Brother, Get Used To It”. This is really scary, they have no fear anymore and not even trying to deny or hide anything, but quite openly making daring statements like this:

“Everybody wants their privacy, but I don’t know how you’re going to maintain it. It’s just we’re going into a different world, uncharted, and, like it or not, what people can do, what governments can do, is different. And you can to some extent control, but you can’t keep the tides from coming in. The argument against using automation, it’s this craziness– oh, it’s Big Brother. Get used to it.”

“During the time when disorder arose in the Holy Church of God, people were expecting that some persons who had no communion with Her (i.e. the Holy Church) would be ordained, due to the command of the Emperor. In turn, it was expected that a persecution would arise. Then, some Christ-loving men asked the Great Elder: Should we not go away, and hide our possessions and ourselves? But he said: Is there anything stronger than God? If we are in the hands of God and sing with David: Into Thy hands I commend my spirit (Ps 30:6), then why should we be afraid? Did not God say: Let Nineveh be destroyed (Jonah 3:4)? But was it destroyed? No, but rather, because of the repentance of the Ninevites, He had mercy on it. And this is why we also repent before God, and He makes everything peaceful. And again: Is this earthly Emperor any stronger than Nebuchadnessar? And yet, Daniel and the three youths prayed to the Heavenly King, God – and He made the king of Babylon subject to them. Your question also shows that you are held by two types of warfare: of fear and of avarice. We are in the hands of God, and He has the power to fulfill His will in us. Our time is also one of difficult troubles in the Church and in society. The persecution is already with us, albeit still in a more deceptive form, which many do not comprehend.

Like the questioners in 7th century Palestine, some contemporary Christians believe the most appropriate preparation for difficult times is to gather canned food and to build underground bunkers.

The Elder humbles us with his answer. Most of our possessions will undoubtedly be lost, just as the nobility in Russia lost everything within months of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution. Instead of troubling ourselves about things and money, we should attend to our repentance. Our concern for possessions is more inspired by avarice, that is, love of things, and love of silver, than by concern for the truth!

Instead of running to hide (something which will not be possible in our satellite-monitored world!), we should repent of our lack of faith in God. He is mighty to act in our lives – no matter what kind of troubles the Enemy, with his earthly servants, intend to send upon us! He is also mighty to give us His peace, which is beyond any peace of mind that earthly “planning ahead” can give us. Indeed, only He can give us discernment and protect us from every deception.

Lord, increase our faith, and cleanse us of earthly passions!

The following is a summary of the Synaxarion on the Sunday of Orthodoxy which can be read in full here.

Emperor Leo the Isaurian, who persecuted the Orthodox Icon-veneraters mercilessly, was originally a mule-driver, or swine-herd (!), according to other sources. As he was resting from his manual work one day, three Jewish sorcerers approached him, telling him they could make him a great man – if only he would promise to do whatever they asked him to do. He readily promised, being an uneducated man. After all, they said they would make him – Emperor of the Byzantine Empire!

Twelve years later, Leo the Isaurian did indeed become Emperor. The three Jews then came to him, asking that he do according to their former agreement. They said they were only concerned for his and his subjects’ spiritual health….they explained that their books prohibited any bowing down to the “boards and walls” (that is, icons), and that Emperor Leo should ban this practice. Leo readily agreed. But Patriarch Germanos did not! The Patriarch’s librarian and teachers provided evidence of all the miracles that had occurred through the holy icons. Leo remained silent – but then burned down the library, with its scholars inside, and then persecuted the rest of the Orthodox world…

The Jewish sorcerers successfully caused havoc in the Church of Christ, compelled by the devil because of the curse they had brought on themselves for generations by crucifying God….Now stop to think…Who is causing havoc in the Church of Christ today? Who is compelling the Patriarchs and Bishops, down to the least Priest or Deacon, to accept the heresy of Ecumenism?

Another Emperor Leo (the Armenian) was convinced to persecute the holy icons by a supposed holy hermit, and elder who lived in a faraway cave. His adviser (who happened to also aspire to the throne…) suggested that Leo send gifts to the hermit. Unknown to Leo, it was this advisor Theophilos who had put his friend, a monk in dress only, in the cave, to impersonate a “holy elder”! Much to Leo’s surprise, the elder would not accept gifts from the Emperor – because he would not accept anything from an idolater (!). Theophilos suggested they both go to see the hermit to understand what this accusation was about. Therefore, they both set out, inkognito, in the dark. In order to test the hermit, Theophilos suggested the change clothes – so that he, Theophilos, would appear to be the Emperor, and Leo just a servant. Leo agreed to this also. And to confirm his faith in the “elder”, the old man immediately knew the clothing to be wrong, despite it being very dark night when the two arrived at his cave! This was enough to convince Leo the Armenian to persecute the icons….

The same Theophilos eventually succeeded to the throne (by his cunning). He persecuted with vehemence – his own wife, Theodora, who secretly venerated the icons. But God punished the man. He died a terrible death – but with a miraculous repentance! Theodora then restored the holy icons, which is the event we are celebrating on the Sunday of Orthodoxy.

The struggle between good and evil is always concentrated further at the peak of power – this was the case in the 7th century, and it is the case today. Persons who have sold their soul to the devil direct affairs behind the scenes with much cunning and deception. Few know about the servants of Satan, they act secretly, and yet they cast the entire Church of Christ and the simple people into terrible troubles!

Orthodoxy prevailed at the 7th Ecumenical Council thanks to Empress Theodora.

But today, there are not Emperors or pious Queens who could assist the Church to re-establish order. Let every Christian choose who he wishes to follow – the heretical Bishops, who are at best led astray by the servants of Satan, and at worst, are themselves apostates and servants of this anti-god – OR – the Martyrs and Saints of all times!

According to the prophecy of one of Greece’s most holy & honoured Bishops of recent times (many testify he was a living saint), Antonios of Sisanion and Siatista (reposed 2005): “When the evil begins from Syria, start praying and asking for gods forgiveness”.

Terrible things will happen to Syria according to Bishop Antonios visions, and after that there will be a great famine among the Greeks. Let us be watchful and ready !

The Council of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia in 1983 made a bold decision to anathematize the PAN-HERESY of SYNCRETISTIC ECUMENISM. This was the most important event in the recent history of The Church (the last 100 years at least), and the significance of this decision reverberates through today having a special importance on the Sunday of Orthodoxy when this Anathema used to be read in the ROCOR Churches. ROCOR, alongside The Catacomb Church of Russia, even though under heavy persecution and reduced to a very small flock after the defection of the majority of its bishops to the Moscow Patriarchate (MP) in 2000, are the only canonical rightful successors to the Holy Russian Orthodox Church. With the infamous declaration of Moscow Patriarchate (MP) through Metropolitan Sergius in July 1927 which submitted the MP to the atheistic communist authority (the red beast of the Apocalypse), the official Russian Church fell into heresy, in which situation finds itself even today because no MP synod of bishops ever adopted any official decision to condemn the mistake and correct its error. On this subject we shall write more in the future.

In 1983, then Archbishop Vitaly, Metropolitan of ROCOR, stood firmly for this decision and gave it his unqualified support in a published leaflet, “Orthodox Review” (#58, April 1984). He wrote:

“Without doubt, the time for discussion and polemics has passed and the time has come to judge this movement and, however insignificant our Council of 1983 may seem, it has condemned Ecumenism and anathematized it in the following words: ‘To those who attack the Church of Christ by teaching that the Lord’s Church is divided into so-called “branches” which differ in doctrine and way of life, or that the Church does not exist visibly, but will be formed in the future when all “branches” of sects or denomination, and even religions, will be united into one body, and who do not distinguish the priesthood and mysteries of the Church from those of the heretics, but say that the baptism and eucharist of heretics is effectual for salvation; therefore, to those who knowingly have communion with these aforementioned heretics or who advocate, disseminate, or defend their new heresy of Ecumenism under the pretext of brotherly love or the supposed unification of separated Christians: Anathema.’“

Father Dumitru Staniloae had this to say about ecumenism: “Orthodoxy is the only church and the only Truth. Her ecumenical mission cannot be anything else but the complete confession of this Truth. Western Christianity has been deluded by rationalism (Orthologismos) and it has lost the very meaning and the possession of the Divine Mystery, as well as, the full realization of Salvation. I consider this extremely important to have this Truth heard today by using all possible means, since the danger of slipping towards theories of relativism is great, even among the ranks of Orthodox theologians.”
